Orchard Learning and Development Limited was established in January 2002 and we have achieved many successes with our rapidly growing client base in our first 3 years.

Our success stems from our desire to truly understand our clients’ business goals and work with them to develop tailored learning and development solutions.

We focus on quality, not numbers, and long-term added value, not quick fixes. Our aim is for clients to keep coming back. And that’s exactly what they do.

Jonathan Smale is Orchard Learning & Development’s Director and lead consultant, with sixteen year’s professional HRD experience. Jonathan has worked in both the private and public sectors, including senior management positions in two of the world’s leading financial services organisations, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered FCIPD).

Jonathan is supported, where necessary, by a small, carefully selected team of highly skilled and experienced partner consultants. Unlike larger training organisations that use ‘Associates’ to deliver their services but retain the majority of their client fees to cover overheads and retain a profit margin, Orchard works in ‘equal partnership’ with it’s partner consultants. This results in excellent value for money for our clients.
